[cs_content][cs_element_section _id=”1″ ][cs_element_layout_row _id=”2″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”3″ ][cs_element_text _id=”4″ ][cs_content_seo]After you give birth, your doctor or midwife is going to want to examine the baby.  Ask to have all baby checks  done on your chest for the first hour, if possible.
Your care team will check your baby’s temperature and pulse and give eye medication and Vitamin K. They will also make sure your baby is behaving like a healthy baby.
Make sure you ask your doctor or midwife about these checks so you can learn about them.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][cs_element_layout_column _id=”5″ ][cs_element_image _id=”6″ ][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][cs_element_section _id=”7″ ][cs_element_layout_row _id=”8″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”9″ ][cs_element_text _id=”10″ ][cs_content_seo]Have more questions?\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][cs_element_layout_row _id=”11″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”12″ ][cs_element_button _id=”13″ ][cs_content_seo]Return to library\n\n[/cs_content_seo][cs_element_button _id=”14″ ][cs_content_seo]Call your Pacify doula\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][cs_element_layout_row _id=”15″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”16″ ][cs_element_text _id=”17″ ][cs_content_seo]Sources: www.mothersadvocate.org, The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin with Katie Rohs.  https://www.lamaze.org/parent-information\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][/cs_content]
